Un-Common Concert Series

un-common concert series

The Whitefield Bandstand will once again be hosting the Un-Common Concert Series for seven wonderful weeks this summer. Featured on WMUR’s New Hampshire Chronicle, this year’s series will begin July 5th as regional artists of various musical genres grace the Common with complimentary music. Concerts will be every Thursday evening at 6:00, with a rain location of Whitefield's newest exciting business, The Old Mill Bakery.
The series will kick off with a very special event, featuring up-and-coming musicians from the area. They are homegrown high school music students and they are all about performing. From guitar to vocals and more, these young artists will collaborate to create a show of talent that our community can be proud of. Come out and show them some support!
The following weeks will prove to be enjoyable shows of musical skill, as headliners from both New Hampshire and Vermont take to the Common. Vermont’s Alternative Bluegrass artist Victor Tremblay will showcase his from-the-heart songwriting and unique style on July 12th and Littleton’s Dave Saikin will “Blues It Up” on July 19th. Young Vermont Harpist Grace Lombardi will "grace" Whitefield with her angelic music along with a rockin' follow-up by Stas Swirzewski; regional favorite Comfort Country will rock the Common with on August 2nd; and New Hampshire’s very own Folk Balladeer Jim Barnes will return with his fun and candid tunes on August 9th. All artists will be invited to return for a Grand Finale on Thursday, August 16th.
In addition to these headline acts, each week will feature additional solo acts and surprise local artists. And each concert will wrap up with the Un-Common Concert Series’ Kids Segment of the show. Parents, bring your kids. Kids, bring your parents and grandparents. It’s fun for all on Thursday evenings in Whitefield. The Un-Common Concert Series will begin July 5th at 6:00, and run for seven Thursdays, with a rain location of Whitefield's newest exciting business, The Old Mill Bakery.
